How to raise extra funds for the running of the club

By using the Easyfundraising website you can raise extra funds for the club. The website links you to thousands of retailers that donate a percentage of what you spend to the club. It is easy to use and costs you no more than you would have spent anyway.

Any money raised will go towards the upkeep of the pitches and modernisation of the club house.

Garden / maintenance equipment and tools wanted

Still wanted!

The club is looking for some donations of tools and maintenance equipment to help with the upkeep of the grounds. If you have any unwanted stuff we are interested! Wheel barrows, brushes, spades, forks, buckets that kind of thing. Bring it along on a match day preferably and leave it by or in the club house. If you are unsure the item will be of use email alanwitham49@hotmail.com (no rubbish please).

Help wanted - kitchen / bar area expansion

The club would like to investigate expanding the kitchen and bar area to provide more facilities on match days. To get this moving the committee would be interested to talk to any architects / designers or trades people who would be able to assist with the initial plans for the work. If anyone thinks they may be able to assist, or knows someone who can, then please contact Harry, Alan or any of the executive committee (see contact us on the menu on the left).

Jason Roberts

Ex Parkfield junior Jason Roberts, who is currently playing for Blackburn Rovers, has kindly donated a framed signed shirt to the club. This photo shows a group of Parkfield boys and coaches with the shirt...thank you Jason!     (More info on Jason Roberts)

New Spectator Initiative

Further to the report on this website that we have been asked to try a new spectator initiative your intrepid reporter (i.e. webmaster) has an update. I was present on one wet and wild day pitch side to witness the boundary posts and police incident style tape being erected alongside the pitch - the idea being that this would keep spectators and coaches away from the action areas - so helping the players and referee.

Unfortunately it was so windy the tape pulled the posts over and some posts (plastic) started to break - so the trial had to be abandoned. We of course continue to have a rope along the car park pitch which is made of sterner stuff.

We will let you know of any further updates and technological advances (like using a rope rather than thick tape!) when we get them. (Ed)
